Drafting of International Standards in the field of Heat Transfer Equipment and Over Pressure Protection.
Member of the BSI committee mirroring ISO/TC 67 (Materials, equipment and offshore structures for petroleum, petrochemical and natural gas industries).
Chairman of BSI panel PSE/17/-/06 which shadows ISO TC 67/SC 6 (Oil and gas equipment and topside safety systems).
Convenor of ISO Work Group ISO/TC 67/SC 6/WG 8 (Heat transfer equipment).
Member of the API CRE Sub-committees for heat transfer and pressure relieving equipment.
JIPs managed by the (UK) Energy Institute, including Shell & Tube Heat Group Exchanger Overpressure Protection; Safe and Optimum Design of Hydrocarbon Pressure Relief and Blowdown Systems; Design and Protection to Withstand Severe Fires.
Coordinated the Consortium on Transient and Complex Multiphase Flows and Flow Assurance, managed and led by Imperial College London.
Fellow of the (UK) Heat Transfer Society. Honoured to be the 2022-2023 President. After many years I have handed over the position of Honorary Secretary.
